Printmaking -- 9/11 Memorial Site

This is a linocut relief print.  A linocut relief is made by cutting a design into a plate of linoleum and inking it.  Areas that were cut away remain white while the raised design takes on the color of the ink.  Four separate plates were used in making the print and it has five colors.  The size of the print is 11 x 15 inches, although the white outside margin is not visible in this photo.  This is the final project for this semester's print making class.
