Printmaking -- Remembrance - 9/11

This is a woodblock print based on my memory of images from 9/11.  A woodblock print is made by cutting a design into a wood surface, inking it, placing a sheet of paper on top and running it through the press.  Areas that are cut away become the white portions of the print.  Areas that are left intact become the black.  Texture is achieved by using different sized tools to make different marks in the wood.  This is a larger print: the wooden block measures 18 x 24 inches and the print as a whole measures 22 x 30 inches.
